Simile Bag

Marsh, Fen, Bog, Swamp! Describing the functions of a wetland is easy when you can compare it to a familiar thing.

Activity Description

Why are wetlands important? Students will draw common objects from the Simile Bag and describe how it relates to an important function of a wetland. If a picture of a bathtub is drawn from the bag the student would say, “A bathtub is like a wetland because it holds water.

This activity centre is part of the Water Protection theme.
