Canada Water Agency task force releases report

The Government of Canada is establishing a Canada Water Agency to improve freshwater management across the country. On June 28, 2021, Sault Ste. Marie City Council approved the formation of a Task Force to explore this potential opportunity. 

The Task Force is developing a proposal to bring the Canada Water Agency to our community. A significant component to developing a formal proposal to the federal government is engaging in community discussions for input, feedback, and ideas on the Canada Water Agency.

Community feedback has been published in the What We Heard report which includes key themes and messages from the community discussions hosted between August and December 2021.
