The passage of Regulation 687/21 “Transition Plans and Agreements for Programs and Services Under Section 21.1.2 of the Conservation Authorities Act” requires the development and implementation of Transition Plans by each Conservation Authority. The Transition Plans are created to outline the process and timelines for the development of cost apportioning agreements with municipalities within our jurisdiction for non-mandated programs and services.

The plan was developed with the intention of bringing about a better understanding of our roles and strengthening our position within the communities we serve. The citizens of Sault Ste. Marie and Prince Township are the primary benefactors of Conservation Authority programs. We strive to deliver quality programs, provide natural recreation areas, develop partnerships and provide excellent customer service.
